MOUNTAIN BIKING: Trillium

← VA NANSEMOND RIVER ROUTE 460 AT SUFFOLK VA Single Tracks →

Description

The trail is very flat but roots are prevalent. Nice turns throughout the ride, nothing very difficult. If you have young children who are interested in learning to ride MTB trails, this is perfect. I rode this wih my
wife and two daughters (11 and 8) without much difficulty, but the youngest had a difficult time with some of the heavier-rooted sections. The trail exits back into the western-most entrance of the parking lot.

Directions

From the parking lot of Sandy Bottom Nature Park, take the gravel road to the right until you see the

sign for Trillium. The ride to the trail travels the rear edge of the park for approximately 3 miles until you

hit the actual trail entrance. There may be large puddles on the track due to rain.
